Facts [on the ground]: Obama is Israel’s friend!

27 May

One may ask: What is a friend? A friend is someone with whom you may sometimes disagree, but with whom you have common goals, and a common purpose, it is someone to whom you are loyal throughout life. A friend is someone one mutually respect, and someone who one would support through adversity, as well as through good times. Israel, and the United States, for the just over sixty years of Israel’s life, have proven to be such friends.

Early Obama rhetorics would suggest that the young American President is responsible for a declining United States support of Israel; facts on the ground prove differently! Barak Hussein Obama, since entering office, made sure that all of Israel’s security needs are met, the young President even made it possible for Israel to actively deploy the “iron-shield*,” and likely supply the systems to support United States troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Obama’s appeasing Cairo speech to the Islamic World, his Islamic birth and exposure to Islamic culture during his formative years, suggest that Obama is not a friend of Jews, Judaism, or the State of Israel. Facts of the grounds do not support this notion. Indications are, that Obama’s desire to associate and deal with the Islamic World in a peaceful and diplomatic manner, is more due to naiveté than it is for a sympathy for that religion, and its morés…

Since early in Obama’s Administration key influences were Zionist Jews! Rham Emanuel, chief of staff, a man with strong Israeli roots who served in Israel, and David Axelrod, a man who many credit with Obama’s election strategy, and who always has the President’s ear, were but two very strong pro-Israel influences within the Obama Administration. With such influences, Obama might have simply chose the prudent way, and toned down pro-Israel rhetorics in order not to make the public believe that “Jews are running the country.”

Now that Axelrod and Emanuel are gone from the Administration, Barak Hussein Obama is more open in his support for Israel. In Obama’s “Middle East” speech, the President stated more support for Israel than anyone could imagine. Even though Netanyahu objected to some of Obama’s stated views, the speech was, for lack of better words: A Zyonist speech!

Obama’s several references to Jewish Israel, answered two important questions. Since Israel cannot be a Jewish state with refugees return, that issue, in Obama’s mind is put to bed: No “right of return,” for Palestinians. And, since Jewish Israel must have united Jerusalem as its capital, the American President all but openly supported that notion.

Obama then spoke of state boundaries based on pr-1967 lines, but he made it clear that they must be modified and be defensible for the State of Israel!

In summary: In Obama, Israel has a friend in the White House. The “friend” may be young and naive, thinking that the likes of Ahmadinejad can be negotiated with, but, Islamic roots, sympathies, and perhaps instincts, and all, Obama is a strong supporter of the State of Israel, and of Zyonism!

No withstanding some media coverage, and in spite of a number of low-points, relations between the United States and Israel is as strong, perhaps stronger than ever.  The fact that in spite of such ill-conceived actions as Israel’s announcing of approval for new settlements during Vice President Biden’s visit, and Obama’s snubbing Netanyahu during one of his visits to Washington, President Obama Middle East speech, and his actions on the ground demonstrate an unwavering support of Israel by the Obama Administration!
