Why Africa when Syria is burning?

Syria, as much, perhaps more tha any other nation, is key to Mideast peace. Both Hezbollah and Hamas leaderships are in Syria, and Assad’s henchmen are forever stirring the pot in Lebanon, trying to topple that fragile democracy. Syria is a major catalyst to Mideast conflict, it is difficult to understand why the United States is not support a fully justified revolt in that country.
It is very difficult to understand US foreign policy, helping revolts in Tunisia, Lybia, and Egypt, while ignoring the likes of Yemen, Syria, and Somalis. Of those mentioned Syria has more effect on international stability, yet the United States does little to help the rebels; why?
