Would Iran determine 2012 US election? US drawn into imminent Iran conflict; no standing on the sideline any more!

28 Feb

The United States under Obama’s Administration seems to be unable to recognize friends from foes, is it  pushing the country towards conflicts that would further seperate it from its allies?

In Europe the Obama Administration gave up a previously agreed upon missile shield program in order to appease the Russians. In return the Russians promised to help put pressure on Iran’s nuclear program, but, as one could have expected, reneged.

The United States supported revolts in Libya, Tunisia, and Egypt, all are in the process of adopting Sharia law, and a system in total contrast with everything the United States believes in.

For about a year now “Syria is burning,” while the United States standing on the sidelines. Syria, unlike the tribal Libya, backwards Tunisia, and a highly mixed society in Egypt, is a country with impressive history that with support from the West would likely transform the country to a positive member of the global community.

Finally, Iran. The United States Administration totally inept in dealing from Iran. President Obama insist on dialogue and diplomacy while Iran made it clear that it is not open to such approach as long as the US is an ally, or a friend, of Israel.

Obama’s three years in office gave Iran the window required to advance both its nuclear and missile technology to the point that it is now a real danger to the West.

Since Iran is not an Arab country, and because of the majority of its population is Shia not Sunni as are most Arabs, most Arab country in the region are as afraid of a nuclear Iran, as is Israel. Because of that threat those Arab countries between Israel and Iran has given Israel tacit approval to use their airspace on route to Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Using the Suez Canal to send Israel submarines to the Gulf is still an option, the option ends as soon as Egypt’s military give control of the country to the Muslim Brotherhood; a very short fuse.

Since Israel flight to Iran would require the cooperation of Gulf States allied with the United States, the US would be considered a participant, not just someone on the sidelines.

Would Israel have to use the rapidly closing window of opportunity and deal with Iran before the US 2012 election? Would the Iran threat become the determining factor in the US election, will Obama’s Administration inability to be pro-active regarding Iran determine America’s new President?
