Putin via Iran and clients; about to regain “Super-Power” status:

United States goal of ridding the world of autocratic regimes, and replacing them with secular democracies, seems to be backfiring, while Russia is regaining the ex-USSR stature of “Super Power.”

Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt disposed of their dictators, but all are about to become states ruled under Sharia law, totally contrary to United States goals and desires. Touting human, and women rights, as some of its main objectives, the United States sees these goals being dissipated, evaporating in front of the world’s eyes, if you will.

Iran, in large part a client state of Russia, and on the other side a mentor state of Syria, is posing a threat to world peace and, in the short-term, the stability of the [MidEast] region. While Iran is quietly supplying weaponry and other equipment to the likes of Syria, and with Syria as a conduit to Hizbollah, and Hamas, Russia, under its long-term leader, Vladimir Putin, who was recently formally re-elected as head-of-state, is openly supplying Syria and Assad, with state-of-the-art aircrafts weapons, and other equipment. Russia is also sending special forces troops into Syria which might have just been a definitive step in keeping the United States and its allies from helping the ongoing revolt is Syria.

Last week, US Senator John McCain, called for air support of the rebels in Syria, a seriously overdue move. The McCain suggestion cannot be considered now since Russian troops are in Syria, and involvement by the United States may well constitute an act of war against Russia, not a situation that the US can afford to be in.

The revolt in Syria is now about a year old. While such a revolt, an action consistent with US desires to do away with autocracies, is taking place in a key country to MidEast stability, the United States have been standing on the sidelines. As the United States condemns the Syrian regimes, Russia, and its surrogate Iran increased their hold on Syria, and for all practical purposes, has a footprint on the ground making the United States and its allies impotent to act in this very important conflict.

Gaining influence in Syria, Iran’s Ahmadinejad and the Russia led Putin, are trumping the Obama Administration by enhancing their control in the region and in general Islamic world.
