Iran (Persia,) Syria, Israel (Judea and Samaria,) Iraq (Mesopotamia,) and Egypt (before Arabs took over,) represent the foundation of today’s civilization, why does the United States, the only “Super-power,” allow many of these countries to be destroyed by villains? Why is it doing so while supporting rebellions in countries of nomads, such as Libya, that will remain outside of civilized society?
What is happening in Syria, followed by President Assad war-like rhetoric, is simply another demonstration of an inept United States foreign policy! “Syria is burning,” Assad is sounding like Ahmadinejad, and the US stays on the sidelines. Backing Libya, a wild tribal nation that will follow Sharia law and will not join the civilized part of the global community, while allowing the civil and cultured Syria to burn, is an aberration. How can the United States be so inept in dealing with the world, especially with the Middle East?
Supporting rebellions in the likes of Syria and Iran, two countries with long histories as contributors to civilization, would have likely added positive influences to today’s world, while supporting Libya, and Egypt will probably bring about two new nations that will follow Sharia law and deprive many of its people of even minimal liberties.
